"On the other side"" - 1996
pic "On the other side' (fragments of columns) Three columns - fragments of columns in which figures are apparently caught. In the troughs of crenelated columns computer-manipulated photographs are concealed. The raised parts are left untreated (monochrome or textured). The photographs are of naked people (male and female). Each image is constructed using 72 different shots taken from all angles around the subject (between 5 - 360 degrees). These individual shots are reworked in the computer to calculate the proportional foreshortening necessary to produce the illusion, once they are laid on the column that there is actually a person trapped within. picpic
